Wasted Days and Wasted Nights...On the night...

'Wasted Days and Wasted Nights' shaped up to be one hell of a night. I don't think I've been to a fashion event in Perth that has been so well attended. The local fashion crowd included models Sarah Pauley and Gemma Bidstrup, along with styling guru Hannah McGrath.

Wolf Lane was blocked off at each end with a suitably low key entrance from King Street, leaving what lay behind to your imagination. Stepping through the entrance revealed a venue a kin to major fashion shows in New York. The bars offered local wine, beer and a selection of cocktails designed for the event (after a long day at work I couldn't help myself I had to sample one).

A suitably distressed warehouse space was the stage for both shows, the first from Subway DC and the second from Wasteland. Gorgeous girls and dashing men strutted down the catwalk to music played by DJ's People of Paris. The clothes were a mixture of bright colours, bold prints, stripes and the always fashionable black. At the end of the Wasteland parade five police men standing at the back, were very happy to pose in photos with guests.

The evening was still buzzing with excitement as I left and I suspect that this event will back for another year!  (To view photo's from both parades click on the image below.)
