As a child to wear a hat was considered uncool. However as I got older I began to see them more as a way of making a statement. Hat's weren't just a way of keeping the sun off, they were a work of art, beautifully crafted, made to be worn.

In Australia the Melbourne cup racing carnival is the only time when hat's can be seen on mass and even then it's only at the track. This comes only once a year.

I thought what a waste to have these beautiful hat's sitting in boxes. So I began to wear my hat's out to night clubs, fashion shows and out shopping. Wherever I went they seemed to attract attention, some complementary and others looked at me, eye brows raised like "what on earth was she thinking!?"

I didn't care because regardless of what others might think, I love my hats and I love wearing them even more!

  1. I wear hats everyday, and always get compliments, especially from men. The trick is to look as though you forgot you were wearing a hat, yet seeming entirely confident and happy. Since wearing a hat does make me happy, this is quite easy to do!

Love your red cloche design. Great job!
